1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how FREE VIRTUAL NUMBER LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with Virtual Number | Receive SMS, also referred to as “vNumber” (the “App”), and vnumber.app (the “Website”).
We do not sell personal data and do not use App data for cross-app advertising or behavioral profiling. The current Website is a static informational site and does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts by default.
2. Information We May Handle
The App is designed to minimize personal data. Depending on how you use it, the following limited categories may be processed:
- Service request data: the service category/country you select, a transaction or order identifier, and technical status needed to obtain and manage a virtual number.
- Incoming SMS content: verification messages addressed to the virtual number you obtained, to the extent needed to display the code to you.
- Purchase status: transaction or entitlement information returned by Apple so the App can recognize completed purchases and provide purchased features. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Support information: if you contact support, we may receive the content of your message and any contact or diagnostic information you choose to provide.
- Technical data: limited device/app version, error, security, or network information may be processed where necessary to deliver, secure, or troubleshoot the service.
We do not require you to provide your personal phone number to use a virtual number for supported verification flows.
3. Virtual Numbers and Incoming SMS
Virtual numbers and SMS delivery rely on telecommunications and infrastructure providers. When you request a number, provider systems may process the selected country/service, the assigned number, the incoming SMS, timing information, and technical identifiers necessary to route the message.
Incoming SMS should be used only for the verification purpose you requested. Do not use the service to receive sensitive personal, financial, medical, government, or confidential communications. Virtual numbers may be temporary, reassigned, or subject to provider retention rules.
4. Purchases
Purchases on iOS are processed by Apple. Apple may process your Apple ID, payment method, transaction history, tax information, and related purchase data under Apple’s own privacy practices. We receive only the transaction/entitlement information needed to provide or restore the purchased in-app content.
5. Support Communications
If you use in-app support or email us, we may process your message, contact details, screenshots, transaction details, device/app information, or other information you voluntarily provide so we can investigate and respond. Please avoid sending passwords, full payment-card numbers, identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive data.
6. Service Providers and Disclosures
We may use service providers for telecommunications/SMS delivery, hosting, security, customer support, and purchase validation. These providers may process limited information on our behalf or under their own legal obligations.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, lawful requests, enforce our Terms, investigate abuse or fraud, protect users/providers, or protect our legal rights. We do not sell your personal data.
7. Data Retention
We aim to keep operational information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was processed, including delivering the requested service, fraud/security controls, troubleshooting, accounting, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Retention periods may differ between our systems and third-party telecommunications, Apple, hosting, or support providers.
Support communications may be retained for a reasonable period to resolve the request and maintain a record of the resolution. Transaction records may be retained where necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no online or telecommunications service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and any third-party accounts secure.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of certain personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a competent data-protection authority.
Because the App is designed to minimize identifying information, we may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record before fulfilling a request. We will not require more information than reasonably necessary.
10. Children
The App is not intended to be used in violation of age restrictions imposed by third-party services or applicable law. We do not knowingly use the App to collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us inappropriately, contact us so we can review the matter.
11. International Processing
Because virtual-number and SMS services are international, providers and infrastructure may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards or rely on lawful transfer mechanisms.
12. Website Privacy
vnumber.app is designed as a static launch website. By default, it does not set advertising cookies or load third-party analytics. The language selector stores your EN/TR preference locally in your browser using localStorage; this preference remains on your device and is not sent to us by the website code.
If your hosting provider keeps standard server logs (for example IP address, request time, user agent, and requested page) for security and reliability, those logs are controlled by the hosting environment and should be retained only as reasonably necessary.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the App, providers, law, or our privacy practices. The current version will be posted at this URL and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Material changes may also be communicated in the App where appropriate.
